Free WiFi all go in Christchurch

Written by Paul & Allister in General at 9:16am, Thu 17 Nov 2011

We’ve been working with some cool companies to get free WiFi up and running in the flash new Re:Start Cashel Mall retail precinct in Christchurch's CBD, and it was officially switched on this week.

Thanks to the good people at Enable Networks, FX Networks and The Press for helping make it all happen. All these companies are committed to helping out in Christchurch and the ongoing efforts to rebuild the city.

The free WiFi network means everyone visiting Re:Start with WiFi capability on their phone, laptop or tablet will be able to surf the internet. The initiative is completely free and public with no commercial or revenue objectives.  More...

Back to the future for Daily Deals

Written by The Trade Me team in General and Top Seller at 4:17pm, Thu 27 Oct 2011

We hate delaying any new initiative, but sadly we won’t be kicking off the 1-day powered Daily Deals on 1 November as planned.

Delivering a strong consumer-centric mix for Daily Deals is critical and we’re not quite there yet. As a result we will continue with the existing form of Daily Deals, and hold fire on the relaunch until next year. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Meanwhile if you’ve got some quality products in good numbers that you can offer to our members at a great price we’d love to hear from you. Just flick us a note through the Daily Deals contact page.
