Brand new in Fashion
We’ve just added the much-anticipated brand selector to the sidebar in the Clothing & Fashion category, so you can search by your favourite fashion brands.
There are hundreds of brands to choose from, and you can select and search for one or multiple brands at the same time.
You can now hone in on that favourite item with laser-like precision by using all the attributes that are important to you, including colour, size, style, brand, price and keyword. More...
Category change: Can you smell something?
The 'Category Change' team has been busy again, this time adding a heap of new fragrance categories to help you keep smelling your best.
We’ve added 27 new categories across both men’s and women’s fragrances, with many more popular brands now available.

Category change: iPads on the move
A quick update from us this morning - we've just moved a range of iPad sub-categories with the goal of making them easier to find.
iPads and their related accessories (cases, components, docks, pens and more!) now all sit with the rest of the Tablets & E-book readers.

Trade Me for iPhone app update
Our clever team of mobile developers have been hard at work creating all kinds of handheld awesomeness, and today we’re excited to unveil our new-look Trade Me app for iPhone.
This update introduces a fresh look and feel, and the following new features:

These are a great way to help you stay up to date with your buying and selling activity. For example, if you’re outbid, asked a question, or receive a fixed priced offer, a notification will appear under the new Notifications tab. Important consumer law change applies from today
From today, sellers must make it clear if they are ‘in trade’ when selling items online.
This will mean that consumers know when they are protected under the Fair Trading Act and the Consumer Guarantees Act. The Fair Trading Act applies to what people in trade say and do when selling goods and services. The Consumer Guarantees Act provides guarantees for when you purchase from a person in trade.
If you’re a professional seller and selling items in trade, the law requires you to disclose this to members when you’re selling items on Trade Me. And if you don’t, the Commerce Commission can fine you. More...
