Today’s site outage: The lowdown
We posted about some site issues earlier and these culminated in us taking the site down from 11:58am until 1pm today. We’re sorry for any hassles this caused our members.
At 11.58am we identified the root cause of the issues we’d seen earlier involved a problem with replication between our database servers. As a precautionary measure, we took the site down to enable us to resolve the issue.
We have extended all listings that were due to close between 11am and 1.30pm by five hours. For example, an auction set to close at 12pm will now close at 5pm.

We're currently experiencing technical issues which are causing the site to run slow for some people. We're working on the problem and hope to have it resolved ASAP.

We experienced issues earlier tonight with one of our servers that caused Trade Me to be slow or unavailable for some members.
We have resolved these issues and have extended all auctions due to close between 7.30pm and 8.00pm by one hour.
We apologise for the inconvenience.
Site issue this morning
We had an issue this morning between 9:50am and 10:30am that caused the site to be slow or unavailable for some people. We have now resolved the issue and have extended all auctions that were due to close between 9:50am and 10:50am by two hours.

Auction Closing Issues [Resolved]
Update 6:59pm: We've found and fixed the problem, auctions are closing as normal and the backlog has cleared.
