A reminder about Rugby World Cup tickets

Written by Paul in General at 9:00pm, Mon 14 Feb 2011

With the third phase of Rugby World Cup 2011 ticketing being rolled out this week, we thought it wise to ensure members were clear on restrictions around the sale of these tickets.

Our position has not changed: we want Rugby World Cup 2011 to be a massive success, and we won’t be doing anything that might undermine this.

In addition, the Rugby World Cup 2011 is a “major event” under the 2007 Major Events Management Act, which means tickets can’t be sold above face value. The T&Cs of the tickets also don’t allow resale or transfer to anyone you don’t know personally, so you should assume you can only pass on tickets to friends and loved ones.  More...

Changes to property fees

We wanted to give you a heads up that from 21 February, the fee to list a residential, rural or commercial property is changing from $249 to $299 (including GST). You can relist your property until sold at no extra cost.

Rental supply on the up

Across the country, the number of rentals listed in the quarter to 31 December was up 1% compared to the same period in 2009. This was a turnaround after declines of 12% and 18% in the previous two quarters. More...

Pets & Animals now on the homepage

Written by Shona in General at 12:07pm, Wed 2 Feb 2011

You may have noticed that our homepage looks a little bit different today. That’s because our Pets & Animals category now sits between Music & Instruments and Pottery & Glass, making it easier for you to find fluffy kittens, playful pups, birds and fish, pet accessories, and much more.

“Dogs”, “cats”, and “puppies” often feature in the list of top searches on Trade Me, so it made sense to move Pets & Animals (which contains over 17,000 listings) up to the homepage. Happy pet-shopping!
