Book a courier service is temporarily down

Unfortunately, our 'Book a courier' service is having some issues, and bookings aren't able to be made.

Packages booked before this outage are unaffected, and will go ahead as normal. However you will not be able to view the booking information for your packages during this time.

We're working on the problem and hope to have it up again soon. We will update this site announcement when it's back up and running. More...

Update to our ‘Contact us’ page

We’re updating our 'Contact us’ page to make it easier and faster for you to get help if you need it. It means your questions get to the right people, with the right info.

This is live in our Help footer now, and in the next few days we’ll roll this out everywhere else.

GST changes for international purchases

As per the recent change in legislation, from 1 December we will be collecting NZ GST of 15% for all Trade Me purchases from any international seller to a New Zealand buyer.

Top up your Trade Me account with Ping

We’re changing the way you top up your Trade Me account. Soon you’ll be able to top up via Ping, using Ping credit or any of the cards or bank accounts saved through Ping.

As part of this change, the minimum top up when Trade Me account is at $0 balance or higher will only be $1 (as opposed to the previous $10 limit), and when your Trade Me account balance is in debt there is no minimum top up.

In the coming weeks we’ll also remove the ability to top up your Trade Me account over the phone and by cheque, as we focus on more secure payment options.  More...
