Category changes: Farming
We’re always looking for ways to improve how items are categorised on Trade Me, to better connect buyers and sellers in our marketplace.
As part of that work, we are making a number of changes to the Farming category to better reflect the range of products available. We’re adding a number of new categories and taking the opportunity to update some of the category labels. In particular, we’re bringing in new categories for:
- Dairy and milking equipment
- Fertilising & pest control
- Hay making
- Livestock health & management
- Pasture & lawn maintenance
- Planting
- Soil cultivation
- Trailers & transportation
You can expect to see these changes on the site from 20 May.

We want to continually improve the browsing experience on Trade Me and there are several other category improvements in the pipeline. Please keep an eye out for any changes that may affect you as a seller. We’ll keep you updated on the major changes via our Announcements page.
