You may have noticed Kevin the Kiwi sporting a pink shirt today – he’s celebrating Pink Shirt Day, an annual 'show of solidarity' throughout New Zealand and around the world.

Pink Shirt Day is aimed at raising awareness about the power to prevent bullying. Its goal is to reduce bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting the development of positive social relationships.

For more about Pink Shirt Day, check out the website.

Our staffers here at Trade Me are getting involved too by donning their pink shirts today; keep an eye out on our Facebook page.

Hat-tip to one of our developers, Dan M (who has since left Trade Me for the UK), who kicked off our involvement in Pink Shirt Day a couple of years back.
