Upcoming update to our ‘in trade’ policy

From 9 November 2017, we’re making a change to our ‘in trade’ policy. Members that are in trade will no longer be able to turn this status off.

Buyers feel safer making a purchase when they know they are protected under NZ consumer law. To have this assurance they need to know that a seller is, and always will be, in trade.

For this reason we’re making sure that members that are in trade will keep their status for the life of their Trade Me account.

Sellers that have previously sold both in trade and personal items from the same account will no longer be able to differentiate the two via listing description, but will need to have two accounts – one for each purpose.
