Website for Canterbury rugby fans up next month

We're building a free website to help Cantabrians find “in-home” Auckland accommodation for Rugby World Cup 2011.

The initiative comes after matches scheduled for Christchurch were moved as a result of the damage to AMI Stadium in the 22 February earthquake.

Three of the games scheduled for Christchurch have been reallocated to Auckland (1 to North Harbour Stadium, and 2 to Eden Park).

We're working with the NZ 2011 Office and the Office of Rugby World Cup Minister Murray McCully, and will have the website up and running in June. It will be free for those both seeking and providing billet accommodation.

We figure Cantabrians have been through hell and the last thing they need to be worrying about is where they will lay their heads during the big games.
