‘Pets OK’ filter on rental listings
If you have pets and are looking for a rental property, house hunting just got a little easier. You can now filter your search results to only show properties that are OK with having pets, at the discretion of the landlord. Simply select the tick box next to 'Pets OK' when adding your search criteria from the 'To Rent' sidebar.
Sold prices – new on Trade Me Property’s iOS app
Users of our Trade Me Property iOS app can now find out the most recent sold price of many residential property addresses in Auckland, Wellington City and Christchurch – for free!

Rateable values (RV) – new on Trade Me Property
We’ve added new information to Trade Me Property listings on our desktop site. You can now see the rateable value (RV) of nearby listings on the map of residential properties listed for sale in Auckland, Wellington City and Christchurch. We are working hard to increase the number of areas we can show this information for, so please stay tuned as there are more on the way.
How do I see this information?
When you are on a residential listing that is for sale in Auckland, Wellington City or Christchurch on our desktop site, select the tick box “Show nearby RVs” to see a selection of RVs for nearby properties. More...
Trade Me Property pricing has changed
As we announced two weeks ago, we’ve made some changes to listing fees and promotional fees for private sellers listing property for sale, for rent or car parks on Trade Me Property.
To find out what fees have changed, please check out the tables in our original announcement, or on our fees page.
Please note: in our announcement two weeks ago, we made a mistake saying that properties for rent under $450 per week will have a listing fee of $99. This should have said properties for rent under $400 will have a listing fee of $99. Properties for rent between $400-$799 have a new fee of $139. More...

On 6 October we’re making some changes to the listing fees and promotional fees for private sellers listing property for sale and for rent. This also includes car parks for rent.
